June’21 posted 5% M-o-M and 11% Y-o-Y growth in talent demand; Healthcare, Manufacturing and IT/Telecom led the hiring index

New Delhi, July 13, 2021: The Healthcare/ Pharmaceuticals sector posted maximum talent demand along with the Doctors/ Medical Professionals job profile in June’21. This growth in talent intake coincides with the presumption that the third COVID-19 wave will hit India by Aug’21 and hence the preparations.

The Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals sector recorded a maximum growth of 18% in M-o-M study of talent demand in June’21, up from 4% growth in May’21. The Doctors/ Medical Professionals job profile saw over 30% growth in M-o-M analysis of talent demand for June’21. Overall, June’21 recorded 5% M-o-M and 11% Y-o-Y growth in talent demand, as per TimesJobs RecruiteX. RecruiteX is a monthly recruitment index that records the demand and supply of talent at India Inc.

Elaborating on the findings of TimesJobs RecruiteX June’21 edition, Sanjay Goyal, Business Head TimesJobs and TechGig said, “The world is grappling with COVID-19 and its aftermaths on businesses and the society at large. The second (and more intense) wave of April-May’21 jolted many businesses, slowing their operations and workforce plans. Hence everyone is preparing to deal with the impending third wave more cautiously. In this wake, the Healthcare/ Pharmaceuticals sector and the Doctors/ Medical Professionals job profile saw the maximum growth of 18% and over 30% respectively in the study month. Other sectors as Manufacturing, IT/Telecom, BFSI, Petrochemicals too saw an increase in talent demand, as these sectors are limping back to business normalcy.”
