New Delhi: December 14, 2020: The talent demand trends for Nov 2020 paint a tech-led story for recruitment activities. Indian economy’s poster boy and high volume sector – IT/Telecom – made a comeback as the top sector with maximum talent demand in Nov 2020. The talent demand in all of 2020 was dominated by the Healthcare sector but IT/Telecom pushed all sectors behind in Nov 2020 to take back its position as the top sector with most talent demand, noted RecruiteX. TimesJobs RecruiteX is a monthly recruitment index that records the demand and supply of talent at India Inc.

Highlighting the trends from TimesJobs RecruiteX Nov 2020 edition, Sanjay Goyal, Business Head, TimesJobs and TechGig said, “Both IT/Telecom and Retail are high volume sectors. Their emergence as sectors with maximum talent demand in Nov 2020 indicates that hiring activities are resuming. The impending festive season and the increase in consumer activities led to the growth in both IT/Telecom and Retail sectors. Also, I feel that the E-commerce sector which resides in the cross-section between the IT/Telecom and Retail sectors has been propelling talent demand in both these sectors. Ecommerce workforce has been as busy as ever in the COVID-19 impact period and hence the continued demand there.”
