India’s No 1 Property Portal launches Version 2.0 of its Android and iPhone apps




Taking IT Convergence to the next level, MagicBricks.com the leader of the online property space has launched the next build of its hugely successful Android and iPhone Apps.

Having extended itself to the small screen by introducing both India’s Fastest Mobile WAP site and India’s first Android and iPhone Real Estate Apps last year. MagicBricks has gathered user insights and rigorously developed the next version of its apps. Which it now releases in the Google Play and iTunes Market places.

Bringing the PC Browser Experience on the Mobile

Version 2.0 brings many new features to the MagicBricks mobile experience. The developments center around the replication of the most used PC browser features into the new mobile apps, while customizing the interfaces for the small screen.

Here are the main highlights –

  • Searching, Sorting, Filtering and Refining – Projects, Agents and properties, based on Property type, Locality, Recency and Name.
  • Price Trends – the property rates and trends section shows data for sale and rental properties in 15 Indian cities – data is refreshed every quarter.
  • Bookmarking or Favoriting – not just Properties but Agents, Projects and Price Trends as well for quick retrieval is also part of the new build
  • Location Map Service – pinpoint exact location of Projects and Properties on your cellphone map and even get driving directions
  • Quick Contact – contact advertisers through the app, send them a message or even direct dial them.
  • Easy Share – Share ad details with friends and family – Email, Twitter, Facebook, SMS, Bluetooth, even external app integration wherever permitted.

Leveraging Smartphone technologies

While the above features are available for both the iPhone and Android apps, as a Beta Launch, MagicBricks has launched Free Vastu Compliance App Integration for Android. Using the ancient Hindu doctrine of how the directional laws of nature affect human dwellings – the Vastu feature uses the Device Camera and Compass capabilities to judge directional compliance.

Users select the Vastu feature on their android phone, choose the type of location – Entry Door, Living Room, Bedroom, Kitchen, etc, point the camera and tap focus on the screen image, and the resultant Vastu compliance result will be displayed . (please refer to Screenshots below)
